Disabling Sent Items

The Blackberry Enterprise Server version 4.0 redirects messages sent from the desktop email client to the hand-held by default. This document identifies how to disable that option.
Symptom: The Blackberry Enterprise Server version 4.0 redirects messages sent from the desktop email client to the hand-held by default.
Solution: From Desktop Manager:

1. Open desktop manager and double-click on Re director Settings.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. In the Folder redirection section, click the Selected Folders option, followed by Choose Folders.
4. Make sure there is no check mark in the box next to Sent Items. If there is, remove it.
5. From the hand held:

From the Home screen, click on Messages.

1. Click the track wheel and select Options.
2. Select the Email Settings option.
3. Click the track-wheel and select Folder Redirection.
4. Highlight the mailbox. Click the track-wheel and select Expand.
5. Scroll down to Sent Items. Make sure there is no check mark in the box next to it. If there is a check mark, click the track-wheel and select Change Option.
6. Click the track-wheel and select Save.
