Security Timeout

Can I change the settings on my handheld so I do not need to enter a password every 2 minutes?
Symptom: User’s device locks after 2 minutes, requesting user to enter password.
Solution: To change the Security Timeout setting on the device:
1. Scroll to Options icon located on the Blackberry’s main menu screen, and click the track wheel.
2. Scroll to highlight “Security” and click the track wheel.
3. User will be presented with security information for your device.
4. Scroll to “Security Timeout” and click the track wheel.
5. Select “Change Option” and click the wheel.
6. Scroll to select “1 Hour” and click the track wheel.
7. Click the track wheel and select “SAVE”.
Root Cause: The company policy is for the default timeout to be 1 hour. However the device default is 2 minutes and since this is more restrictive, it does not automatically change to the company policy setting.
