Duplicate Meetings

User has duplicate appointments in Outlook when Wireless Calendar Synchronization is enabled
Symptom: Duplicate appointments in Outlook occur when wireless calendar synchronization is enabled.
Solution: Clear the Process requests and responses on arrival option.

Outlook 2000 or Outlook XP: Tools > Options > Preferences > Email Options > Tracking Options and clear Process requests and responses on arrival.

For Outlook 98: Tools > Options > Preferences > Email Options > Advanced Email Options and clear Process requests and responses on arrival.
1. From the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, go to Intellisync > Configure PIM.
2. Highlight Calendar and click Choose.
3. Select MS Outlook from the Available Translators list and click OK to save your settings.
4. Select Synchronize PIM and click Synchronize now within the Intellisync window.
5. Change the translator from MS Outlook to BlackBerry Wireless Sync.
6. Synchronize again by returning to the Intellisync window and selecting Synchronize PIM. Click Synchronize now.
Note:
By clearing the Process requests and responses on arrival meeting requests will need to be opened or deleted before they are added to the calendar.
Root Cause: The Outlook Calendar, which updates based on message requests and responses, might conflict with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, as they both attempt to process the item.
